Either way, looks and stats, best Healadin shield in the game at the moment.JUMP TO: Julie Masse’s biography, facts, family, personal life, zodiac, videos, net worth, and popularity. It goes great with Life and Death, and the cold blue plate healing gear that I'm wearing. It's a fantastic Shaman shield, however.Īnyway. It's okay, as is the badge shield, but neither should be considered best for Holy Paladins. The Shield of Assimilation from 25-man Anub is NOT a good Paladin shield. This shield and the 10-man Naxx Maexxna shield Aegis of Damnation should be what every Holy Paladin should aspire to get. The mana return talents and spells should give every Paladin enough mana to make mana conservation a non-issue. No fight should be so long as to have it really come into play. On that note, no Holy Paladin that really know's exactly what 25 man raid healing entails is going to consider MP5 a viable stat. But it's awesome for all 3 and no one class should be excluded from the rolling, DKP, or whatever method of loot distribution you use. Holy Paladin, Resto Shaman, Elemental Shaman, in that order IMHO. My job, as a holy paladin is to heal the tank and the tank takes a lot of burst damage, you take away my crits, you take away my ability to effectively heal for long periods of time, *especially* on fights that require me to use holy light.Ĭomment by 243445Agreeably, no one class can claim this as best. They are there to chain heal through the raid. Shamans aren't in raids for burst healing. Now, while I won't get into the fact that in order for Divine Plea to be effective, you need a lot of mana, but how about we discuss the fact that I am more than willing to bet my 33% holy crit (or my 44% holy light crit via my T6 2 set bonus and talents) is more than most shamans have, meaning I have a better chance to crit and therefore benefit from the mana regeneration via crits. Not so much mp5? That's because paladins are expected to regen most of their mana via Divine Plea and critical heals now. Has a lot of mp5 doesn't it? Now go and look at the majority of plate healing gear. Now go ahead and look at the majority of mail healing gear. #JULIE MASSE UPGRADE#Rate me down if you like, but this shield is a much bigger upgrade for a paladin or an elemental shaman than it is for a resto Zulathar:Īs for the crit rating being better for a resto shaman than it is for a paladin now, I understand that Shamans (via improved water shield I believe) get 500 mana returned on crits, whereas a paladin gets mana regen 60% of the mana cost of the heal (base mana cost, not including talent and/or gear reductions) on critical heals. So those of you who actually NEED the stats on this shield watch out for other fools who feel they deserve it based on a minimal gain of mana regen. Nevermind the crit/haste combination clearly making this a bigger upgrade for a paladin or an elemental shaman. Comment by 179709I had this ninja'd from me by a resto shaman last night on the grounds that it has a whole six more intellect than Shield of Assimilation.
